Introduction Here's How Terms & Conditions Winners List

CIMB Bank Berhad (“the Bank”) will run the “CIMB Use & Win Contest” (“the Contest”) which starts from 6 October 2008 and will continue until 8 February 2009 (“the Contest Period”), both dates inclusive.

Eligibility
1. The Contest is open to all customers of the Bank who have been issued with the Bank’s ATM card (“Cardholder”)
2. 2. The following persons/group of people will not be eligible to enter the Contest:-
  • Employees of the Bank and/or their immediate families, the same criteria extending to the Bank’s related companies and/or subsidiaries,
  • Advertising agencies and/or other parties that are directly involved in the organizing, promotion and conduct of the Contest as shall be determined by the Bank
3.

Every minimum of One Hundred Ringgit (RM100) that has been spent in a single transaction by a Cardholder via his or her ATM card (“Card”) during the Contest Period will entitle the Cardholder to one (1) Contest Bid (“Bid”)
4.

There will be Weekly, Monthly and Grand Prizes that will be given away under this Contest.
5.

To bid for the said Weekly and Monthly Prizes, all Cardholders are required to do is to send a Short Message Service (“SMS”) via the Cardholder’s mobile phone to the number 39993 by typing the following details:

All SMS submissions which are incomplete will be automatically disqualified by the Bank.

Weekly Prizes
6.

Five (5) Cardholders will be randomly selected from the relevant week during the weekly prizes period as stated at Clause 10 below.

7.

To be a Weekly winner, each Cardholder is required to answer two (2) questions correctly wherein he or she will receive a cash sum equivalent to the total value of the amount that has been spent and/or charged to their Card for that respective week.
8. Weekly prizes are capped to a maximum of RM1,000 for each Weekly winner.
9. Weekly prizes in the form of cash will be credited into the winner’s CIMB Savings or Current Account.
10. The Weekly Prizes period comprise the following sequence of dates:

11. Weekly Prize winners will automatically be pooled to entitle them to be selected for the Monthly Prizes.
Monthly Prizes
12.

From the Weekly Prize winner’s pool, three (3) Cardholders will be randomly selected for the Monthly Prize.
13.

To be selected as the Monthly Prize Winner, each Cardholder is required among others to answer two (2) questions correctly to be determined as the winner wherein each Monthly Prize Winner will receive a grocery voucher worth RM2,000.
14.

The Monthly prizes will be couriered to the Cardholders address that has been stated on the Cardholder’s Savings / Current Account.
15.

The Monthly Prizes period comprise the following sequence of dates:

Grand Prizes
16.

A total of three (3) Winners will be selected as Grand Prize Winners based on the highest accumulated spent amount via their Card at the end of the Contest Period.
17.

The Grand Prize Winners will win:

A packaged trip for 2 to Hong Kong which includes:

  • Economy Class Return Airfare from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong
  • Hotel accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights
Other terms and conditions
18.

By participating in this Contest, the Cardholder agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of the Contest and/or the decisions of the organizers and judges.
19.

The Bank’s records of all transactions made by Cardholders via their Card shall be final and conclusive.
20.

The judges’ decision shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence thereafter shall be entertained.

21.

All the Cash Prizes will be credited into the Winner’s Savings or Current Account or the same may be credited in any other manner as the Bank deems fit within four (4) weeks from the end of the Contest Period.
22.

The Bank reserves the right without prior notice to substitute any of the prizes with those of similar value.
23

The Bank shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts in respect of the Prize(s) as published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials.
24 The Bank reserves the right to publish any information, names and/or photographs of the Winners in any mass media or marketing materials for advertising or publicity purposes. The value of the Prize(s) as published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials in relation to this Contest will be as of the time of print.
25 Winners of the Contest may be required to attend and/or participate in any the prize-giving ceremonies and/or other events as organized by the Bank wherein if any Winner fails to do so, the Bank reserves the right to forfeit the Winner’s Prize(s)
26 The Bank reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions herein at any time without prior notice and/or discontinue or cancel this Contest at its absolute discretion.
27 The Bank reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any participant that is found to be tampering with the entry process of the Contest or its operation or is found to be acting in breach or potential breach of its Terms and Conditions. Based on the Bank’s decision to disqualify any participant, no appeal shall be entertained.
28 The Bank reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Contest in the event of any unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
29 The Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or credit of any kind. The Bank reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with other item(s) of similar value without prior notice.
30 As part of this Contest, the Bank makes no representation or warranty with respect to the products or services, the product’s quality and/or its suitability. The Bank shall not be responsible, nor shall it accept any liability with respect to any death, injury, or consequential loss or damages of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising as a result of the Contest.
31 Cardholders must keep all original sales slips so that in the event of a dispute, the Bank reserves the right to request for the same from the Cardholder for the purposes of inspection.
32 All ATM transactions that have been cancelled or have not been posted to the Cardholders account for whatsoever reason will not be taken into consideration for the purposes of the Contest.
33 Cardholders who are eligible for the Prizes must have valid and active Savings or Current accounts with the Bank during the entire Contest Period.
34 In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the English and Bahasa Malaysia versions, the English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail.
