PKIK started operation on 5.6.1995 for children/ persons with learning disabilities and was registered as a Society on 6.5.1998.
It is managed by a Committee of 11 voluntary elected/appointed members, most of who are parents.
PKIK’s primary aim is to help this group with special needs in their overall development and help them towards a life as independent and meaningful as possible.
As a welfare organization, PKIK is dependent on its regular fundraising projects, donations from organizations, families, the public and Welfare Department to help with its operations and upkeep.
Kuala Lumpur Lions Renal Centre is a voluntary organization that offers subsidized dialysis treatment to kidney failure patients from the lower income group. Thus, helping these patients maintain a reasonable quality of life.
The Centre relies heavily on public funding in order to carry out subsidized dialysis treatments to kidney failure patients. Hence, cash contributions from Charitable Organizations and the public is crucial in order for KLLRC to continue reaching out to the kidney failure patients.
Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur Bukit Kiara is a voluntary service organization committed to humanitarian service. The Club is carrying out community service projects in the various sectors to benefit the underprivileged community in Malaysia and other parts of the world.
Major projects include Feeding the Blind and Needy, Welfare Homes, Health and Eye Screenings,

The Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) is a non- governmental, non-profit charity organization registered under the Societies Act of Malaysia. MMHA provides psychiatric rehabilitation service at our centre, conducts seminars and awareness programmes for the general public as well as educational programmes for care givers and family members of those with mental illness.

The Persatuan Diabetes Malaysia ( Malaysian Diabetes Association) is a non-profit NGO registered in 1983 with the aim to help people with diabetes to lead healthy and productive lives. Objectives include:

MAKNA (Majlis Kanser Nasional or the National Cancer Council) is a not-for-profit social enterprise mainly tasked to pool and utilise every effort, expertise and financial aid from every faction of society, and to fight cancer and reduce the related pain, suffering and morbidity that cancer patients and their families often experience.

Presently, MERCY Malaysia has worked in Malaysia, Sudan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, India, Iraq, Myanmar, Palestine and many others.

The Malaysian Liver Foundation (MLF) is the only national voluntary, non-profit, charitable organisation in Malaysia dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of liver, gallbladder and pancreatic diseases through education, training and research.
The Malaysian Liver Foundation works towards the goal of better health for all Malaysians through its public awareness campaigns on liver conditions, education forums & events, research on liver disease in Malaysia and provision of laboratory services to test patients for liver conditions.
Montfort Youth Center caters for underprivileged youths between the ages of sixteen (16) to nineteen (19) years, who comes from various underprivileged backgrounds i.e. orphans, poor single parent families, poor families and minority ethnic groups. It offers a two (2) year programme, giving this Youth the opportunity to train in industrial-commercial skills and in character formation. MYC is the centre ACCREDITED by the Ministry of Human Resource (KSM). The Trainees will be conferred the ‘Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia’ (SKM) upon successful completion of training.
In order to keep our centre running, MYC needs RM 1.5 million a year to provide proper meals, lodging, maintenance of facilities, training materials, services and programmes for these youths and the source of income depend mostly from public donations.
Established 50 years ago by the Brothers of St. Gabriel, the Montford Boys Town runs the Montfort Youth Training Centre (MYTC) Sabah and the Montfort Youth Centre (MYC) Melaka.
MYC offers a 2 year programme to train underprivileged youths between the ages of 16-19 years from various underprivileged backgrounds (i.e. orphans, poor single parent families, poor families and minority ethnic groups) on industrial-commercial skills as well as character formation.
In order to keep the centre running, MYC appeals to the public for funds to help them provide proper meals, lodging, maintenance of facilities, training materials, services and programmes for these youths.
The National Autism Society of Malaysia was formed by a group of parents and professionals back in 1986 with the aim of delivering lifelong services to individuals affected by autism.
To date, the Society has become a national charitable organisation which provides a range of support services to assist people living with autism, especially young children and their families.
NASOM also provides educational and intervention programmes for its students, including intensive early and early intervention programmes, elementary intervention and mainstreaming programmes, pre-vocational and vocational training programmes as well as a residential programme.
National Kidney Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to help alleviate the sufferings of poor kidney failure patients. Today NKF has a total of 23 dialysis centres nationwide serving more than 1180 end-stage poor kidney failure patients.
Kidney patients have to endure through 4 hours of dialysis treatment, 3 times a week, 13 times a month. At NKF, each subsidized dialysis treatment costs the patients RM 50 which amounts to RM 650 per month or RM 7,800 per year whereas in private hospitals the fees are about RM 250 per treatment or RM 39,000 per year. This year, NKF needs to raise RM 4.5 million to subsidize its poor and needy patients for their dialysis treatments.

The National Council for the Blind, Malaysia is a non-governmental and non-profit organization registered under the Societies’ Act of Malaysia.
NCBM strives to ensure that Braille is made available to the blind and visually impaired students to empower them to participate meaningfully in community concerns besides promoting their socio-economic advancement.
